More words about First to Fourth pregnancy yoga
“Amelie is a fantastic teacher and I would highly recommend her classes to any expecting mums! I have felt a great sense of community in the group classes and have learnt a lot from other women, and Amelie. No concern you may have is too small, and Amelie is there to explain what is happening in your body and reassure you. “
— Charlotte
“Going to Amelie's classes has been my favourite time of the week, where I can relax, connect with my pregnancy, baby, body and focus (I'm a really nervous person, so this is really important!). I love how this yoga class are for everyone, it's a safe space, with no pressure no matter if it's your first pregnancy or if you haven't done any yoga before.”

Frequent questions about pregnancy yoga classes
When can I start yoga during pregnancy?
Unless you have been advised otherwise by a medical professional, you can start to attend pregnancy yoga classes at any stage of your pregnancy, including in your first trimester.
It is also never too late to start, even if you’re getting close to birth, and you can even practice after your due date
Who are the classes suitable for?
My pregnancy yoga classes are suitable for all stages of pregnancy, all levels of experience. They are just as beneficial for experienced yoga practitioners, as for mums-to-be who are complete beginners.
If you’d like extra reassurance, or specific help relating to an ache or a condition, you may want to book a private one-to-one session first, to build familiarity, find out what feels good and right to you and get the time to understand recommended modifications and contra-indications.
Do the classes include birth preparation?
Yes, all classes do weave in elements of birth preparation, without being solely focused on birth. We explore positions, movements, breathing techniques, relaxation and other tools which can be really supportive during birth, whether you are hoping for a vaginal birth or planning to have a cesarean.
The opening chat at the start of class is also a time where many birth-related questions are often discussed and when I’m always happy to share my experience as a birth doula.
For more in-depth birth preparation, I offer a practical birth skills workshop for couples, as well as birth planning sessions and birth doula support.
Get a sense of some of the practices and birth preparation tools we explore in class with this webinar recording where I present 3 tools to support a more easeful pregnancy and birth experience.
