“I can't recommend this enough!

I went in feeling tired and busy and came out feeling nourished, grounded and peaceful.”

— Emily

Come step out of the frenzied pace & demands of modern life,
revel in a slow, nourishing yoga practice,
and lean into deep rest as a radical act of self-care.

Restore & Reconnect
mini-retreats are nourishing and restorative events especially designed for women & mums (however long ago you gave birth).

A held space, a sanctuary away from the demands of modern life & caring for others, for you to pause, unwind and truly restore.

A special time to attend to your body, listen to YOUR needs (for once), soothe your nervous system and reconnect with your whole self.

What do we do?

The mini-retreats are designed as an expanded version of my somatic yoga classes for women, curated around themes matching the time of the year.

We start with a mindful moment to arrive together as a group, settle in the space, then connect to self, through breathwork, self-massage, journalling and/or guided meditation depending on the retreat.

We then softly dive into a slow, deeply nourishing yoga practice combining:

  • exploratory ‘somatic’, fluid movement designed to reset the nervous system and explore your body in a novel way

  • more traditional yoga shapes and slow flow sequences

  • longer-held, supported restorative poses with props to access deeper release and rest

We wrap up the practice with a Yoga Nidra - a yogic sleep/guided relaxation practice - to truly let go, recharge and renew.

Social time around some hot tea & fresh, organic treats completes the retreat and our time together.

Who is it for?

These mini-retreats are for all women in need of deep TLC, at whatever stage of life except during pregnancy. No previous yoga experience needed!
The practice is designed to be suitable for the postnatal period, and individual modifications will be offered throughout as required to suit everybody’s needs.

You will also get a sample bottle of an essential oils blend of your choice to use during the retreat and/or take home.

FAQs

I’m pregnant, can I join?

Although gentle and mostly restorative, these mini-retreats are not designed specifically to attend to the needs of pregnancy and the pregnant body, and some physical practices might not be suitable if you are pregnant.
If you would like to join, please do get in touch and I will talk you through what the physical practice might look like for you.

I recently gave birth; can I join?

If you would like to enjoy the full physical practice, I recommend you are at least 6-weeks postnatal or, if applicable, that your caesarean birth scar has healed.
However, there is a lot in the retreat that is gentle enough yet deeply nourishing & beneficial if you are an even newer mum than this, so you are very welcome to join for part of the practices that suit you.

What equipment do I need?

All you will need to bring is a mat. All other props will be provided.

I have food intolerances; can this be accommodated?

Yes, of course! Please do drop me a note ahead of the event and I will make sure there are treats for you to enjoy!
